Pictured above are Past Chapter Commander and current Adjutant Andrew Grieb and Auxiliary Adjutant Steve Viner at Wings Over the Rockies museum when two electric scooters were donated to the museum in September 2022. The plane in the background is an Air Force F-100, the same model of plane our Major Clyde Seiler was piloting when he was shot down in Vietnam.
For many years individuals have donated manual and electric wheelchairs/scooters, walkers, wheelchair lift systems, and other durable medical equipment to the Chapter. As we announced the availability of the medical equipment, we received requests from veterans and others for those items.
We now call this program our Durable Medical Equipment Program, whereby we repair and refurbish donated items, to have them available when a request for medical equipment is received.
Our most notable durable medical equipment donation was a wheelchair-accessible van with a lift that was donated to Chapter 21 by The Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 1041 that was donated to a disabled veteran (see the picture below).
We continue to accept donations of durable medical equipment and vehicles and we fulfill requests to provide equipment whenever possible. If you have medical equipment to donate to the Chapter or need medical equipment, please contact the Chapter.
